E Cable Leader Prevent your figure 8 (Self Supporting) or prelashed cable from spiraling while you’re pulling it by using this ingenious tool.

The E Cable Leader is 12 ft. (3.65 m) long and consists of several hinged weights which normally hang vertically to resist cable and strand rotation. It also contains a tipper bar assembly for attaching the pulling in rope sling and swivel, and a special tip assembly that will accommodate a cable grip, replacing the provided strand grip. A Modified version with nine sections and a tow hook is available for attaching a pulling eye or strand dead end Both units have an ample tensile strength of 6500 lbs. (2948 kgs), enough for most cable pulling applications The weights are arranged to fold into the supporting framework when passing over a cable block. The tipper bar and special tip are equipped with screw keepers for retaining the pulling-in rope sling, strand grip and the cable grip. Standard Cable Leader: P/N 79600 Weight: 48 lbs. B Chuck This device helps you to easily place self supporting cable using the stationary reel method. Jaws at one end grip 1/4 in. (6 mm) strand, while a clevis on the other end lets you attach a pulling line. Remove approximately 4 inches of jacket from strand and 5 inches of jacket from cable before connecting the B Chuck. Can also be used instead of the 5/16 in. (8 mm) chuck on the E Cable Leader when working with a 1/4 in. (6 mm) strand P/N 08331 Weight: 9 oz. (.25 kg)
