Quadrant Blocks The Quadrant Block is used to guide the winch line and cable when placing and removing underground cable. Consists of six sheaves supported in an arc of a circle by an aluminum frame to provide a bending radius of 24 in. (610 mm) A sturdy aluminum housing utilizes six cast aluminum sheaves, each mounted on a self lubricating bushing for smooth movement and a long, maintenance free life Each block is approximately 43-1/2 in. (110 cm) long. There is a hole in each side plate for insertion of a 1 1/4 in. (32 mm) dia. digging bar parallel to the ground. This is to keep the block from being knocked into the manhole.
