Distribution Panels

FLOW FINDER MODELS

9800-3082-LBS-1 Panel, Distribution, Low Range, 3/8" Brass Fittings, Flow Transducer This Distribution Panel is supplied with two Flow Finder Manifolds, each containing five 0-9.5 SCFH Flow Finders (for measuring flows to individual cables). It is also equipped with a 0-19 SCFH Flow Finder to monitor total panel air consumption. The pressure tube connector fit tings are nickel-plated brass, 1/4" NPT to 3/8" tubing. Flow rates are monitored remotely with a High Resolution Flow Transducer. 9800-3082-LBS-2 Panel, Distribution, Low Range, 3/8" Brass Fittings, Dual Transducer This Distribution Panel model is identical to the 3082 LBS-1 model described above, except that it is supplied with a High Resolution Dual (pressure/flow) Transducer. 9800-3082-MBS-1 Panel, Distribution, Medium Range, 3/8" Brass Fittings, Flow Transducer This Distribution Panel is equipped with two Flow Finder Manifolds, each containing five 0-9.5 SCFH Flow Finders and a High Resolution Flow Transducer. The transducer measures total panel consumption via a 0-47.5 SCFH Flow Finder. Connector fittings to cables are 1/4" NPT to 3/8" tube. 9800-3082-MBS-2 Panel, Distribution, Medium Range, 3/8" Brass Fittings, Dual Transducer This panel contains the same components as the 3082-MBS-1 described above, except that it is supplied with a High Resolution Dual (pressure/flow) Transducer. The dual transducer offers the added capability of provid ing remote delivery pressure readings. 3/8" Brass Fittings, Resistive Flow Transducer System Studies Distribution Panels can also be ordered with a resistive flow transducer (for system not monitored by a 289H LSS™). This model is supplied with two Flow Finder Manifolds (0-9.5 SCFH flow range), a 47.5 SCFH Flow Finder to measure total flow, and a 0-47.5 SCFH resistive flow transducer. 9800-3082-MBS-U Panel, Distribution, Medium Range, 9800-3082-MBS-9 Panel, Distribution, Medium Range, 3/8" Brass Fittings, No Transducer Like the other “MBS” Distribution Panels described above, this panel is equipped with a 0-47.5 SCFH Flow Finder and two Flow Finder Manifolds with 0-9.5 SCFH Flow Finders. Connector fittings are 1/4" NPT-M to 3/8" tube. Not trans ducer is supplied. Flow readings need to be taken manu ally.

System Studies’ original central office Distribution Panel provides precise control of delivery pressures and unparalleled accuracy in manual air flow measurement. It is equipped with an air flow shutoff valve, two five-port Flow Finder Manifolds™, and a high quality pressure regulator. The panel’s High Resolution Flow or Dual (pressure/flow) Transducer provides the critical data needed for prioritized dispatching and alarming. If desired, panels can also be ordered with a resistive flow transducer or without a transducer. Regulated air flow is distributed through two Flow Finder Manifolds™, and measurements are taken using either a hand-held Flow Gauge™ or one mounted to a Central Office Instrument Panel. The Flow Gauge reads the pressure dif ferential created by the manifold’s internal Flow Finder™ and converts it to a highly accurate air flow reading. There is no re-routing of air, and no air flow to shut off. In addi tion, with the Flow Gauge’s times-two button, it is possible to read flow rates up to twice the indicated Flow Finder range. This times-two capability also extends to the High Resolution Flow and Dual Transducers. To comply with customer requests for a panel with visual flow raters, we now offer a Legacy Distribution Panel. This model contains the same high quality pressure regulator, shut off valve and air source monitoring as our original models, but the Flow Finder Manifolds have been replaced by a ten-bank flow rater assembly. The flow raters provide the visual flow consumption reference many of our cus tomers desire; however, they sacrifice some overall read ing accuracy. For example, if a flow rater is pegged (polystyrene balls at top of scale), it is necessary to use a portable flow rater to measure the flow rate. In order to do so, you have to shut off air flow to the cable at the panel and re-route the air through the portable flow rater. This makes it impossible to obtain accurate flow readings be cause the volume of air being measured is restricted as it flows through the tool’s air chucks and tubing. Both types of System Studies Distribution Panels are available in a variety of model types to serve your particular needs. There are multiple Flow Finder ranges to choose from, and several fitting and transducer combinations that can be specified. The ordering chart at the end of this catalog section provides information on these variations. Included below are descriptions of the most commonly ordered Distribution Panels.
